Reflection on Lady of Shalott

In my own opinion, Lady Shalott is a tragic character just like Macbeth. Although there is no background information about how she got cursed and how she was kept in the tower, she has a big impact toward the whole story. Her curiosity would probably be the most crucial point that causes her death. When she realized that the mirror was broken while she ran out to Comlet, she knew it could’ve been her last breathe. Therefore, her tragic destiny has been fixed no matter how hard she tried to avoid it.

Based on the cultural background, the spirit of knights, especially the ones on the round table, has lasted forever in our life. In fact, such a cultural background has been distilled into the way today's military tries to follow. The spirit of sacrifice and dedication either to a sports team or some other groups like military is the product from the ancient society of respect to knights. The honor and pleasure of being a knight, or a warrior, could never be described by words.

Why did I kill the Albotross?

I killed the Albotross because I was indignate that it led our ship to the North and made us thirsty. The Albotross, to me, at this point is nothing but a prey that I wanted to hunt for, regardless of its mighty god-related image. Moreover, killing them could become an entertainment that kept our crew awake during the long epic journey of coldness in the North Pole. The weather was frightful that really put us into misery. This would probably be the only way to keep ourselves fresh in mind.

How do you think Coleridge's troubles might have strengthened his imagination?

Samuel Taylor Coleridge made a prolific amount of essence of literature based on his ideal and romantic ideas because of his evanescent lifetime. Everything of his thoughts should be on a positive side. On the other hand, since his friendship with Williams Wordsworth ended later in his life, a complicated mood has occurred. Therefore, his work could become more on the dark side, like getting supernatural scenes involved, in order to express his indignation. An example of it is The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

The Earth Is Full summary & opinion

Regardless of the economic growth, we are actually in debt while we are enjoying only certain benefit. The Earth has contained way too many things whether they're necessary or unnecessary. For example, China starts igniting many operating of factories that eventually pollutes our environment harshly. Although profits have been made, the damage that makes our environment to become barren has occurred. However, Paul Gilding, the proposer, states optimistically that "our response will be proportionally dramatic, mobilizing as we do in war. We will change at a scale and speed we can barely imagine today, completely transforming our economy, including our energy and transport industries, in just a few short decades."

In my opinion, I agree with Paul that no matter how harsh the condition is, there's always going to be a way or a method invented by us to survive. The equilibrium of this Earth will always be maintained.

Encounter With An Elegant Girl On the Local Train

Wow, I've never been so timid before when I see her on the train. She sat right across from my seat. Honestly, my heart has pumped as fast as the train has run. She, with an unknown high school uniform, doesn't wear any makeup or perfume but only a pair of glasses. She has the real natural countenance as described as Eve in the Eden. In fact, I can't help looking at her face as I blush. Somehow, I realized she is also looking at me...We actually have looked at each other face to face for a transient moment. Just as I decide to get up and ask for her phone number, the train has arrived at my destination...what a great job done by the god. I am forced to get off the train and pushed by the crowds. This will be one of my greatest regret in my life starting from today !!

Just A Day For Relaxing

Today, nothing for me to do with. Perhaps, I will draw and write some programs...ah, there's nothing special to talk about today...well, let's start with a recap for the past 5 school days:

Monday - had a great time at school, great basketball practice (12 pts, 4 reb, 5 bl)

Tuesday - had a hard time with my hw, especially for preparing Mr. Dahl's test on Thursday!!

Wednesday - horrible performance in the game against Guang-Fu (a naughty player just elbowed on my face and make me with an awkward countenance; moreover, my lips got cut my teeth )

Thursday - in the morning, I got called to the principal's room and got scolded for my tardiness for 4 consecutive days

Friday - in the morning, I got hit by a motorcycle at my left thigh (fortunately, I got my thick books on it!)

so, in conclusion, it has been a horrible week for me! Hope that there would be a brand new start from now on...
