It was used to be the most sacred asylum in the world as Chinese-style had once become the basic element of fashion. It was the refuge where three generations of emperors had put effort into building it. It was the shangri-la that no one would believe its existence. It lasted for only a century of life as the industrial revolution had risen. On its last breathe, it lamented for the help from its incompetent master as it saw a throng of fiercely ambitious troops rushed into its throat and eradicated its vitality. The murder was a caution of the arrival of powerful strengths of weapons under the industrial revolution era. China, the land that carried 1/3 of both the population and the GDP of the world, only had an evanescent period of wealth for less than a century. Such a ruin was not only the lost of Chinese prosperity, but also the lost of the culture and civilization of our global village today.
